The 19-year-old guard D. Harper from Rutgers University stands 6 feet 6 inches tall, averaging 19.4 points, 4.6 rebounds, and 4 assists in his freshman season. He possesses a diverse offensive skill set, excellent pick-and-roll judgment, finishing ability, and high basketball IQ, with comparisons to James Harden and Jalen Brunson.

D. Harper comes from a basketball family; his father, Ron Harper, was a member of the Bulls' three-peat team and also won two championships with the Lakers. His brother, Ron Harper Jr., is currently playing for the Pistons this season.

In the past two seasons, the league's Rookie of the Year, Victor Wembanyama, and Stephon Castle both came from the Spurs. After being selected on the 26th, D. Harper stated, “Being on a team with such great players can bring out the best in a person. I look forward to being part of the young core and contributing to the team.”
