The NBA Suns traded two first-round picks to acquire quality center Mark Williams from the Hornets, who was previously returned by the Lakers.

This year, center Mark Williams was traded from the NBA Hornets to the Lakers but was returned due to failing a physical, and the Suns acquired him using this year's 29th overall pick and a first-round pick in 2029.

Mark Williams moves to the Suns.

The Suns decided to rebuild this year, trading Kevin Durant to the Rockets in exchange for former second overall pick Jalen Green, Dillon Brooks, this year's 10th overall pick, and five second-round picks. However, this trade will only be finalized once Green's new contract begins.

At the draft, the Suns selected 7-foot-2, 18-year-old prospect Khaman Maluach with the 10th pick (currently still belonging to the Rockets), and then traded two first-round picks to acquire Mark Williams to significantly strengthen their center position.

Mark Williamshas averaged 15.3 points, 10.2 rebounds, and 2.5 assists over 44 games this season, but the concern is his durability, as he has only played a total of 106 games over three seasons, with this season's 44 games being a career high.
