The 2025 WTT US Grand Slam is about to begin, with Lin Shidong and Sun Yingsha aiming for their second Grand Slam title of the season.

Between July 3rd and 13th, the WTT Grand Slam will be held in the US for the first time, bringing together the world’s elite table tennis players in Las Vegas to fight for the championship title.The second stop of this season’s WTT Grand Slam, the 2025 US Grand Slam, will take place from July 3rd to 13th at the Orleans Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada, representing the inaugural hosting of this series in the United States.

Lin Shidong and Sun Yingsha are targeting their second Grand Slam singles titles of the season — they previously claimed the men’s and women’s singles championships respectively at the season’s first Grand Slam in Singapore this February.


The Orleans Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada, will host the 2025 WTT US Grand Slam, marking the first time in American history that a table tennis Grand Slam event is held on US soil.

Chinese table tennis playersLin Shidongand Sun Yingsha are aiming for their second Grand Slam singles trophies of the season — both secured the men’s and women’s singles titles respectively at the first Grand Slam held in Singapore this February.

However, standing in their way are not only strong competitors from within the Chinese team but also challengers from around the world, including men’s singles World Cup champion Hugo Calderano from Brazil, as well as the rapidly rising Japanese women’s team over the past two years.

In the men’s singles category, world champion Wang Chuqin is seeded second in this tournament, just behind Lin Shidong. Other top eight seeds in men’s singles include: Calderano (Brazil), Harimoto Tomokazu (Japan), Liang Jingkun (China), Félix Lebrun (France), Moregard (Sweden), and Alexis Lebrun (France).

In women’s singles, the top eight seeds are dominated by Chinese and Japanese players. Besides Sun Yingsha, China’s Wang Manyu,Chen Xingtong, Wang YidiandKuai Manare included, along with Japan’s Miharu Harimoto, Hina Hayata, and Satsuki Odo. The host nation, the United States, is also hopeful that female player Zhang An will deliver an impressive performance on home ground.
