Shooter Trent extends his stay with the NBA's Milwaukee Bucks, having tied Ray Allen's franchise record for most three-pointers in a playoff game.

On July 1st Beijing time, renowned ESPN journalist Adrian Wojnarowski reported that the NBA's Milwaukee Bucks have signed sharpshooter Gary Trent Jr.to a 2-year, $7.5 million contract (around 54 million RMB), keeping him on the roster for the next season.

Wojnarowski noted that the contract includes a player option for the second year, meaning if Gary Trent Jr.performs well in the upcoming season, he can opt out of the second year to seek a better deal with the Bucks or another team. Currently 26 years old, Gary Trent Jr.was drafted in the second round of the 2018 NBA Draft and has played for the Trail Blazers and Raptors. He had a career-best 2021-22 season, appearing in 70 games with averages of 18.3 points, 2.7 rebounds, and 2.0 assists per game.

Gary Trent Jr.joined the Bucks for the 2024-25 season, playing in a career-high 74 games mostly off the bench. He posted a shooting percentage of 43.1% and a three-point accuracy of 41.6%, both above his career averages. In the Eastern Conference first-round playoff series against the Pacers, he scored 37 points in Game 3, hitting 9 three-pointers to tie Ray Allen'sfranchise record for most three-pointers in a single playoff game, also helping the Bucks secure their only win in the series.
